Seminars & Workshops: Cooking Classes - 2006
We offer many cooking classes in the spring, fall and winter (we play outside
in the summer) and bring in a variety of healthy cooking experts and chefs
to tantalize your palate with healthy dishes that will make your stomach
(and your family) happy. All classes will be held at the Natural Path
Health Center.
Based on client and presentation feedback, here are the classes for spring
2006; class sizes will be limited to 15 people, as these classes are 'hands-on'
and Dr. Chad can only oversee so many hungry people...

Wednesday, April 26 - Introduction to Healthy
Eating - 6:00-8:0 p.m.
Everybody knows that they should eat “more healthy” and change
to a “healthier lifestyle”, but what does that mean? What
does a more healthy diet look like, how does the body work to keep us
in balance and how do I make more healthy foods on a tight time schedule?
We will answer these questions and show you how to make a simple, healthy
meal that the whole family will enjoy. We will teach you the basics of
leading a healthier lifestyle and be available to answer your questions
on the natural path to better health and vitality. This class is a great
introduction and a good refresher for anyone interested in knowing how
and why foods affect your overall health.

Wednesday, May 24- Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free Cooking
- 6:00-8:0 p.m.
Many people have heard about being 'gluten-free' or 'dairy-free', but
how do you make it practical and easy? We will teach you how you can easily
incorporate these dietary changes into your day-to-day life by teaching
you how to shop and showing you how you can bake, cook and enjoy gluten-free,
dairy-free (i.e., less allergenic) foods. We will also discuss how you
can convert your favorite recipes to accomodate these dietary restrictions.

Wednesday, June 7 - Vegetarian Cooking & Quick
Meatless Dinners - 6:00-8:0 p.m.
Vegetarian cooking is easy and healthy. Even if you don't want to completely
switch to a vegetarian lifestyle, eating a healthy vegetarian diet some
of the time will improve your health. In this class we will show you how
you can make quick, great tasting and healthy vegetarian soups and entrees.
We will get you acquainted with some of the healthy alternatives to meat
and teach you how to use these meat alternatives to make great tasting
foods, including adapting some of your favorite recipes to a healthier
lifestyle.
